Chicken Pox

Mary Autumn has come down with chicken pox!
When we were little Me, Gianna, August, and Athan, all got it around the same time. Athan I think was one, I was six, August was nine, and Gianna was three. Awww! We were all so little! Well pray that Mary gets well soon!

Fall Tidings

As the leaves turn colors, we can sure tell fall has come. Tomorrow we are going to be having a little party at home. We are going to have a cookie eating contest (whoever can finish their cookie the fastest while it is hanging from a string. No hands!) We also will have Bingo, bobbing for apples, and eating cookies and apple cider, yum, yum! Tomorrow August has a 'duathalon'. Never heard of it? It is the same as a triathlon (swimming, biking, and running) only without the swimming part. The duathalon is in Knights Ferry, and he seems pretty excited. Well good luck August!

Fashion Makeover

Last night me and Mary Autumn did a fashion makeover.

VOTE!!!

Today we went to Little Red Schoolhouse. During civics class we made posters. Each person got to make their own posters, and got to pick the design, the colors, and what they wanted on it. Then we all got down on the floor in the middle of all the red white and blue paper, glue sticks, markers, scissors, and got to work. By the end of class everybody was walking around with red white and blue posters that read VOTE! or VOTE TODAY! or ITS YOUR PRIVILEGE! It was really fun. : )

Yesterday we made lemon muffins with Dearma. We made one for each of our cousins and one for each of us. We frosted them and made cards to go with them. first we delivered some to our cousins that live next door (Huck and Nell) and Dearma delivered the rest to our cousins (Cody, Taylor, Kyle, and Candace) after she left our house.

Happily Ever After

Once upon a time there lived a beautiful princess. She lived in a luxurious castle with here parents. Rare silks covered their beds and twinkling jewels hung all over the castle. The princess was named Crystal because she was as dazzlingly beautiful as a crystal. The royal garden was ten miles long, and was filled with the most juicy fruits and sweet smelling flowers. One day beautiful Princess Crystal was strolling through the luxurious gardens, smelling the colorful flowers, and eating the luscious fruits and playing with a little golden ball she had. It just happened that she was playing by a little pond, and when she tossed it up in the air it fell into the pond with a splash. The princess was so sad that she was about to start crying when she heard the sound of tiny footsteps. The princess looked up, startled, who could by approaching her? Suddenly a little man came out of the bushes. He was about two feet tall, and wore a funny little pointed hat and had a long white beard. He would have been a very cute little elf, if his looks were a little better. The princess thought it was the ugliest little man she had ever seen.

"Beautiful princess why do you look so sad?" asked the little man. "Because I lost my little golden ball in the pond" the princess replied mournfully. The little man looked at her thoughtfully

"I will get your ball out of the pond for you if you let me come live with you and eat off your golden plate and sleep with you in your luxurious bed."

"Yes! Yes of course!" the princess exclaimed without thinking. So the little man jumped into the pond and came up a couple minutes later with the golden ball in his hand. Princess Crystal was so overjoyed that she ran off to the castle as fast as she could.

"Wait! Wait!" shouted the little man. But the Princess didn't turn around and just kept going. That evening when the royal family was eating dinner there was a knock on the palace gate.

"I will go answer it" said Princess Crystal. The princess opened the gate, and there stood the ugly little man that the she had met earlier that day. The princess gasped, slammed the door in his face and ran back to the dining table.

'Who was at the door?" asked the king. Princess Crystal told the story of what had happened that morning. The king frowned and said

"You made a promise and you have to do what you said." There was a knock on the door. Sadly the princess walked sadly to the door and let the little man in. In disgust the princess watched as the little man gobbled the food up off her plate. Then she carried him upstairs and plopped him roughly down on her bed and fell to sleep. The next morning to her surprise instead of a little man there was a handsome prince standing by her bed. He had black hair and was wearing clothes as rich as Princess Crystal's clothes. He told her that he had been turned into a little ugly man by a fierce witch. The Princess ran downstairs with the prince and introduced him to her parents. That night the prince asked the princess to marry him, the princess accepted willingly. The next day there was a glorious wedding and all the people from miles around were there. After that the prince and princess lived in their own castle and ruled over the land for the rest of their lives, and they lived happily ever after.

snake saturday

Today me and mama were out at yard sales and picking up my friend. When we came back all the kids ran out to tell us that they saw a rattlesnake. My friend left around 4:00 or 5:00, and then I helped Athan with reading. I held Clare, and baked cookies with left over cookie dough from a different batch I made. Then I did a little chores and blogged too. It was a nice Saturday.

my afternoon

Hi, this is sort of finishing the post "my morning" so I named it "my afternoon." After we went to the post office I made some muffins, which we ate after rest time. During rest time I was helping Athan with his reading (I am trying to teach him how to read.) After that everybody did afternoon chores and then had free time. I did more blogging, and I went over to the Harrelson/Ferroni's to borrow the newspaper, so me and mama could look at the yard sale section to see if there were any yard sales that we were interested in going to. Tomorrow we are going to go to yard sales, and then we are going to pick up my friend who is coming over. Well I'll blog again soon!

Arizona

Next month I am going to Arizona! : )
Dearma is taking me. We will be gone about a week,
two days on the way there, three days there, and two days
on the way back. I am pretty excited! We have a suitcase in our storage
shed, that mama said would work for the trip. I'll keep you updated as it comes
closer.

my morning

Today I woke up at 8:00, ate breakfast, did my morning chores, and then got started on schoolwork. I did language arts first, and then I did handwriting, math, map skills, and history. Then I was free to do anything I wanted till lunchtime. While the other kids were outside playing tag, I got a little e-mailing and blogging done. Right after this we are going to have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Then we are going to go to the post office, come home and have rest time. I am going to try to blog more this evening, but for now this is all.

Busy

Hi, I've been really busy in the last few days so I haven't had much time to blog. We were out from around 9:00am to 6:00pm on Monday, housecleaning Tuesday, and today we were at Little Red Schoolhouse (our homeschool group) all day but I had time for a little blogging tonight. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are our busy days so now things are slowing down and I will be able to blog more. Anyway, today Mama gave me a letter that her friend's son in Texas sent me . It ends out that he is exactly my age and was born on my exact birth date! He asked if I wanted to be his penpal, and so now I have a penpal in Texas and one in Canada (she has been my penpal for a pretty long time.) Well I'll get back to you soon,

Nice Day

Hi again, today has been a pretty nice day. August did a triathlon in Merced, and we were exchanging kids a lot with the Harrelson/ Ferronies. I stayed in the house reading and cooking mostly, but I went outside a couple of times. And finally just to top it off, I lost my last tooth. No more baby teeth for me! I'll try to blog tomorrow but I'm pretty busy then, so we'll see. Bye for now,

Getting Started

Hi everybody, I'm trying out blogging for the first time. I've been wanting to start one and finally while all the kids were watching a movie Mama got me started. You should expect to hear from me again pretty soon.
